Several years ago I was looking for an easier way for my customers to update Adobe Flash Player and Java on their computers. My research had indicated that their computers were getting infected with viruses and other malware (malicious software) due to vulnerabilities in outdated versions of these programs, which were being targeted by hackers and virus writers. Unfortunately, many people could not or were not taking the time to download and install these updates because it was a very cumbersome process.
I came across several updating programs, but liked one more than the others, Patch My PC, because I thought it was the easiest to use. I posted recommendations and helpful advice on their Facebook page. After awhile the developer reached out to me, and asked if I would be interested in helping out. Since then, several more team members from around the world have been added.
Patch My PC just released version 4.0. We’ve improved the User Interface, added over 40 new applications, added new options, improved options for color blindness, fixed bugs, and much more! It now supports updating or installing over 300 third-party applications.
